Why Building Your Own PC Is Worth the Effort
Prebuilt gaming PCs are convenient, but they come with significant markups and often cut corners on components you cannot easily see. A prebuilt at $800 typically includes a weaker power supply, cheaper RAM, slower storage, and a motherboard with limited upgrade potential compared to what you could assemble yourself for the same money. Building your own PC also teaches you how your computer works, which makes troubleshooting and upgrading much easier down the road. Choosing the Right Processor
The processor, or CPU, is the brain of your gaming PC. For a budget build under $800, you want a processor that offers strong gaming performance without eating up too much of your total budget. The AMD Ryzen 5 7600 is one of the best value gaming processors available today. Memory, Storage, and the Rest of the Build

Power Supply and Case: Do Not Cheap Out Here
The power supply unit is the one component where cutting costs can have serious consequences. For the case, look for something with good airflow, room for your components, and a layout that makes cable management easy. Make sure the case supports your motherboard size, ATX or micro ATX, and has enough front panel connectors for your needs. Putting It All Together
Building the PC is a matter of following a logical sequence. Start by installing the CPU and cooler on the motherboard outside of the case.
